The Vice Chancellor of Administration has approved an Exception for BFB-BUS-38 to allow the sales of University-owned personal property that has been determined to have no continuing value to the University to certain employees upon their retirement or separation from the University.
All sales will be conducted by UC Berkeley Surplus and will be limited to smart phones, head sets plus office furniture or miscellaneous supplies issued for remote work.
Departments will need to verify in writing that the equipment is no longer needed by the University prior to the sale process. Employees may not initiate requests for their own items.
This exception excludes all other data containing equipment, such as computers, laptops and tablets.
